About the Breed

The French Bulldog has enjoyed a long history as a companion dog. They were developed in England as miniature bulldogs and traveled to France with English lacemakers, where they picked up the nickname "Frenchie." This is a very popular breed of dog known for its friendly, docile nature. And since they are small and compact, Frenchies are excellent choices for small spaces such as apartment living.
